Like all businesses we’re trying to navigate the ongoing situation but we are processing orders as usual for you with a COVIDSAFE Plan in place.  We’re doing everything we can to keep our team and community safe.  In keeping with that sentiment, we have introduced some measures as set out below for deliveries and order pickups since the COVID19 pandemic.

 

Coronavirus Notice – Customer Pick Up, Delivery and Drop Off Update

At Easy Rest Pillows, the health and wellbeing of our suppliers, customers and team members is our highest priority. We have introduced measures within our office, factory and warehouse based on the advice from Australian Government about social distancing. We continue to monitor the situation around the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 and processes will be updated as required.

 

Visitor Entry

When entering Easy Rest Factory and Office, we are temperature checking all staff, visitors and customers. All staff, visitors and customers who attend the Easy Rest Building for longer than 15 minutes are required to complete a Health Self Declaration Form.

We are asking visitors and customers not to visit our facility or office area if they;

  • are showing symptoms
  • have travelled overseas, to interstate RED ZONEs or Tier 1 exposure sites in VICTORIA within 14 days
  • have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID19
  • are waiting on their COVID19 test results

All other visitors/customers are asked to keep a distance of at least 1.5 metres from other people, wear a face mask as per health advice and continue to practice good hygiene. This includes washing hands often with soap and water, using a tissue and covering the mouth when coughing or sneezing and avoiding close contact with others, such as touching. We are strongly recommended that a face mask be worn in the indoor areas.

 

Local Order Pick Up or Drop Off (either customer and/or courier)

To minimise the risk of contracting or spreading coronavirus all orders for pick up must be paid in advance via credit card over the phone or direct deposit. No cash or cheques will be handled during the pickup. All pick-ups require 24 hour notice and allocated time slots will be provided (8.30am to 10am, 10.30am to 12noon or 1pm to 2.30pm). Customer orders with invoice attached will be placed in allocated area near Door 2 area within assigned time slot. Easy Rest Staff will be available for help but will maintain a minimum safe distance of 1.5m when loading. Signature for collection will no longer be required and Easy Rest Staff will ask and record the customer’s name and sign on their behalf.  

All small parcel drop off will take place at Door 2. Easy Rest Staff will be available for unloading but will maintain a minimum safe distance of 1.5m when unloading. When signing dockets or run sheet, the courier driver shall not come within 1.5m. Easy Rest staff will not be required to sign for packages by touching the 3rd party scanner but can be signed by the courier driver on behalf of Easy Rest Staff.

 

For Local Domestic Delivery

Easy Rest drivers will wear a face mask as per Health Advice. Additional hygiene practices have been implemented with emphasis on hand hygiene. All drivers carry sanitiser and wipes with their vehicles.

When arriving at the customer premises Easy Rest drivers will ask the customer if they are showing any Covid-19 symptoms. If so, the customer needs to be isolated, and the load will only be unloaded into safe area with no others around. If not, Easy Rest Driver will again ask customer to keep a distance of at least 1.5 metres, and unload the goods. Signature for delivery will no longer be required and Easy Rest driver will ask and record the customer’s name and sign on their behalf.  

 

For large and/or palletised delivery and pick up

Truck Driver will wear a face mask as per health advice. The truck driver shall stay inside their vehicle until they have been loaded/unloaded (except Foam delivery).

The drivers shall not come within 1.5 metre when loading and unloading and/or signing dockets/run sheets. Easy Rest staff will maintain a safe distance of 1.5 metres at all time.

Easy Rest staff will not be required to sign for packages by touching the 3rd party scanner that can be signed by the courier driver on behalf of Easy Rest Staff.

All receiving’s are subject to final check. Final check will take place after the driver/courier has left, to minimise the risk of contraction. If there is any discrepancy compared to packing list or purchase order Easy Rest will contact the supplier immediately.

Drivers are not allowed to enter the Building in any circumstances unless through front Reception and accompanied by Easy Rest personnel to complete the temperature check and Health Self Declaration Form. They shall follow the pedestrian walkways and maintain a minimum safe distance of 1.5 metres and practice good hygiene within the Easy Rest site.
